Info:  Steeped in history, Lancrigg became a meeting place for the Romantic Poets and William Wordsworth wrote his prelude in the woods. There are also connections with Charles Dickens, John Franklin, Florence Nightingale and Charles Darwin.

The rambling nature of Lancrigg gives each room a unique character. The bedrooms are cosy and comfortable, their individual ambience creating an escape from the pressures and routine of everyday life. There is a total absence of traffic noise, the silence being punctuated only by the sound of nearby waterfalls and birdsong.

The Green Valley Organic Cafe & Vegetarian Restaurant at Lancrigg is now a fully certified ‘organic’ restaurant. It is open from 8.30am to 8.30pm. for breakfast, coffee, lunch, teas and evening meals. The food is freshly prepared using the finest ingredients, with an emphasis on international vegetarian cuisine. Most of the dishes have vegan alternatives. Special diets, eg gluten free, dairy free & sugar free are all available. There is an extensive selection of organic wines, beers and unusual spirits.


Lowerbrook Farm

Info:  Offering one large oak beamed suite in a 500 year old farm house, en-suite Bathroom, sitting room / breakfast room, own private entrance off outside patio area (excellent for breakfast when the sun shines). Set in lovely well kept grounds with a hornbeam lined driveway. They serve quality food using the freshest of ingredients. There is a fridge, hot drink making facilities and a T.V. in the suite. They like to think of it as a peaceful, special and homely place to stay. They can also prepare, by prior arrangement, afternoon tea, suppers, picnic packs, lunches, Sunday roasts, BBQ’s, antipasto platters & excellent vegetarian meals.


Monkton Wyld Court

Info:  They are located in the hamlet of Monkton Wyld, amidst the rolling hills of Dorset and within walking distance of the stunning Jurassic coast. Their main building is a charming, grade II listed house, built in 1848 as an early Victorian example of Gothic architecture inspired by Pugin.  Monkton Wyld Court has hosted educational courses, conferences and gatherings for adults, children and families for nearly 70 years. The food at Monkton Wyld Court is vegetarian and mainly organically grown, sourced from their own farm and kitchen garden or local suppliers wherever possible. They cater for vegan, wheat and dairy-free diets by arrangement. They also use eco-friendly and fair trade products.

The farm is set within the picturesque location of the Cheshire countryside, with excellent communications to Manchester Airport and the M6 and M56 motorway network. Info:  Sunnyside Farm is a working organic farm in the Kingcombe Valley. The farm and the surrounding 600 acres of Dorset Wildlife Trust are Sites of Special Scientific Interest because of their ancient hay meadows and historic pasture. They continue to lay the hedges and farm extensively to preserve this exceptional part of the English countryside. On the farm there is a beautifully converted cow byre 'The Old Barn' which sleeps 2/4, from where the area can be explored without the use of your car.
