Info: Each Forum is led by its own Strategic
Panel, who between them are able to survey the whole of
their sector.
They develop policy, drive strategy forward, organize
representation, and agree on an authoritative view.
The role of the Strategic Panel is to provide strategic
direction to a Forum, so that BCS has the ability to
develop policies and views on matters of importance to
the IT profession and guide the development of new
resources, products and services for BCS members.
A Forum must be capable of being influential in its
sector. The credibility of a Forum will arise largely
from the standing of its leadership.
Therefore Strategic Panel members are individually
recognized as authoritative opinion-formers and
thought-leaders, and carry those qualities into the work
of the Forum and BCS.
The work of the Strategic Panels is on-going and in the
main carried on electronically. There are three or four
face-to-face meetings a year to discuss topics of
particular importance and to aid cohesion and ease of
working of the Panel. |
