Our diverse range of more than 500 quality products, from our extensive range of percussion instruments and decorative masks and wall hangings to Zulu baskets and great gift ideas, are all hand-made from materials such as African olive wood, thuya root, soapstone, coconut wood, rattan, fused glass and banana fibre. We also have many items available that have been produced from both recycled and sustainable sources.

Mafundi Crafts has been established with the intention of providing an opportunity to purchase high quality, ethically produced arts and crafts from the developing world. We are a family business, based in the city of Bath in the South West of England, and operate predominantely as an e-commerce outlet. We have carefully assembled our range of products from accredited Fair Trade organizations in areas such as Bali, Chile, Kenya, Peru and South Africa.

We aren’t here to promote a righteous lifestyle but to show that by making small changes to the way we shop we can make positive changes to the environment and peoples well-being.

There are strict standards that must be adhered to for any product or company / charity to obtain organic or fair-trade status. We only source products / brands that have at least one of the certifications listed below or support small community projects that have an obvious social benefit to the producers. Products produced in Europe do not require the above certification, but the raw materials still need to be organic or fairtrade.

Info:  Sells a range of cool kids clothes made from organic cotton, sustainably designed children's furniture and eco friendly toys (some treats for parents too). Products range from eco-friendly shopping bags and creative craft kits for rainy days, to children's furniture like the Tiny Footprint Desk made using recycled office furniture. Mimimyne is an Ethical Junction member and works with ClimateCare to offset carbon emissions. 1% of profits will go to the Woodland Trust each year.

Info:  We are a UK based fair trade clothing and gift company, with a two adjoining retail shops on the Norfolk / Suffolk border, in the lovely little market town of Bungay. We sell a wide range of fair trade and alternative clothing from names such as Nomads, Namaste, and Gringo. Our fair trade gifts and furnishings are supplied by fair trade importers Gringo, Namaste and Sunlover.
