uneeka |
|
|
Info: Was first established in 2005, set up by
two close friends Jodi Skelton and John Tornabene. Both
with a passion for ethical retail and a desire to sell
fairly traded products, the Uneeka concept was created
to show consumers that fairly traded products can be
accessible, affordable and desirable. Uneeka endeavours
to base its operations on the core principle of fair
trade and strong ethical foundations. Fair Trade is a
trading partnership on a global scale, which ensures
that a guaranteed price is paid for produce or goods
from developing countries and encourages long-term
relationships and trading commitments.
We pride ourselves on
sourcing the most innovative and interesting products
from recognised and affiliated fair trade organisations
from all over the world. Accredited with BAFTS (British
Association of Fairtrade Shops), we work to improve the
livelihoods and well being of producers by improving
market access, strengthening producer organisations and
paying a better price for our products. We also actively
work to raise awareness among our customers of the
negative effects on producers of international trade so
that they exercise their purchasing power positively. |
