Bristol Wood Recycling Project

Bristol Wood Recycling Project is a self funded not-for-profit social enterprise. Not-for-profit means that BWRP's profit is not distributed between shareholders or other stakeholders. Instead, their profit is re-invested back into the project; meaning more jobs, more training, better equipment, and ultimately more waste being saved from landfill. They envisage that their volunteers will turn into paid employees. They are proud to be part of Bristol's thriving social economy, creating employmentand skill learning from what others see as waste.

Info:  Their mission is to keep wood out of landfill and to make working as much fun as playing. The Hastings & Bexhill Wood Recycling Project is a social enterprise. The project has been set up with the dual purpose of recycling wood which would otherwise be destined for landfill and working with volunteers and local unemployed trainees to help develop skills that will be useful to them in finding work.
