European Recycling |

Info: Are probably the only specialist shoe
recycler in the United Kingdom. They have around 3000
shoe recycling sites throughout the UK. They take all
footwear, in any condition, and because they are
specialist shoe recyclers, their stands and banks
collect an unusually high number of shoes from the
communities they serve. This is because people know that
they will make use of even their tattiest shoes. |

FixYa |
|
|
Info: Provides free tech support and technical
help for gadgets, electronic equipment and consumer
products. There's no need to throw away old gadgets, you
can fix them.
In 2005, too many product
manufacturers were neglecting post-purchase customer
support. While there were thousands of shopping sites
and search engines, customers looking to repair, modify
and beautify their belongings were left at a loss. This
was a particularly egregious offence as so many brand
name retailers were releasing new technologies unseen by
the average consumer.
Frustrated by the lack of
practical post-purchase information, entrepreneur Yaniv
Bensadon set out to build a community resource capable
of providing relevant and up-to-date troubleshooting
data. Bensadon and his small team began aggregating
practical product tips and providing then in one
user-friendly site. This site became the home of the
FixYa community. |

GERCO |
|
|
Info: Were one of the first licensed sites for
refrigeration disposal in the country. Headed by
refrigeration engineers with over 20 years experience,
they have built up extremely successful working
relationships with not only the businesses they deal
with, but also with local Environmental Agencies. Their
system of collection and disposal has proved to be both
efficient and cost effective, offering a comprehensive
disposal service to many retail companies and councils
across the UK. These businesses are all safe in the
knowledge that they continue to deal with refrigeration
disposal in the most environmentally friendly method.
Faced with the
consequences of the Euro directive on the disposal of
refrigeration units, councils throughout the UK are
experiencing massive problems with the storage and
disposal of these units. GERCO can deal with this
problem. Other services: they are preparing for the
intake of other electrical items as described in the
'WEEE Directive' such as televisions, videos etc. They
will also offer a secure cleaning process for computers
prior to disposal. |
