Bothen Hill Produce

Info:  Theirr produce is marketed via their own box scheme, which is delivered locally on Fridays every week. This ensures that food miles are reduced and customers receive their boxes as soon as possible after the produce has been picked, thus ensuring maximum freshness and shelf life.

Gold Hill Organic Farm

Info:  They have a farm shop which stocks all their home-grown vegetables, plus a wide range of other organic foods, including cereals, bread, pasta, dairy products, jams, eggs, etc.

Modbury Organic Farm

Info:  Lies in the Bride Valley, about one mile from Chesil Beach, on the West Dorset coast.

A real Farm Shop, selling raw organic milk and cream from their organic Jersey herd, and pork from their rare breed pigs. As well as their produce, they sell many other local, organic and specialist items. They also have a Tearoom open during summer.

There are calves in the barn and piglets in the yard, chickens and ducks are always scratching about, and the herd is very often in the field by the shop. Just ask, there is always something to see!

Out Of The Box

Info:  Fresh local organic veg of your choice. Bread from Leakers Bakery, Bridport. Organic eggs from Becklands Farm, Whitchurch Canonicorum.

They deliver to Bridport, Beaminster, Lyme Regis and surrounding villages. They also provide a delivery service from Fruits Of The Earth Wholefoods in Bridport, for their veg box customers.

Sunnyfields

Info:  They believe that they offer the right balance between the original ideals of box schemes and providing good service to you. They include a fair proportion of their own fresh-from-the-field produce, the convenience of a range of box types and sizes, great value for money, the ability to order as frequently or infrequently as you like, and they can even tell you what will be in your box before you order.

Sunnyside Organic Farm

Info:  Their meat is organically reared and treated homeopathically. When ready, the stock is taken to a family-run abattoir in Chard, where it is hung (3 weeks for beef, 1 for lamb), then returned to the farm to be prepared. The lack of stress has a marked effect on the meat and you will taste the difference! All cuts of meat are packed and priced individually, although meat boxes are undertaken.
