Birchfield

Info:  Our farm is situated in the heart of nidderdale in North Yorkshire, we have farmed here for over four generations. It is here where we make the luxury real dairy ice cream. we rear rare breed pigs and dextor cattle, the pigs are all outdoor reared out in the fields and are fed a home rolled wheat feed from a local farm, this enables us to know exactly what is in it and so we know the end product is of high quality. The Dextor cattle are also outdoor reared and spend their lives grazing the lush green pastures,all of the meat goes into our own farm shop. We also rear free range chickens, these are corn fed and spend their days outside in the fields.

At Birchfield Family Dairies, we produce luxury dairy ice cream, luxury fruit sorbets and traditional farmhouse butters on the farm in Nidderdale. Our real dairy ice cream is made fresh on the farm and its here we create all the amazing flavours, we pride ourselves on the quality of products we have to offer and are constantly creating new flavours for the summer ahead, so watch out for them.

Blacker Hall Farm Shop

Info:  Famous for its notoriously good home produced beef, pork and lamb, Cannon Hall Farm Shop has twice been a finalist in the White Rose Awards 'Taste of Yorkshire' competition.

Castle Howard

Info:  Is one of Britain's finest historic houses and is still home to my family whose forebears conceived, designed, and built it over three centuries ago. In this, the 21st century, the business flourishing on the estate means we are able to preserve, conserve, restore and improve not only the many fine buildings, but also the landscape in which those edifices reside.

Castle Howard is a champion of fresh, local food, and we take great pride in our award winning farm shop. At its heart is an excellent butchers’ counter, which supplies meat that predominantly comes from a 15-mile radius of the farm shop, with much from farmers on the estate. Head butcher Paul Nicholson and his team are on hand to give friendly advice on the best cuts of meat. Our butchery team select and prepare all of the meat, including our succulent estate-reared Aberdeen Angus beef. Meat can be prepared to customer specifications, and the butchery team will also give advice on how to prepare and cook your meat at home if required. The butcher's counter also sell and take orders for locally sourced game.

The farm shop also stocks handmade cakes, delicious preserves, and freshly baked breads. The deli counter sells fine regional cheeses, pâtés and cooked meats, including Voakes pork pies from Whitley. Also available are a selection of estate grown and local fruit and vegetables, and dairy products from St Helen’s farm near Tadcaster, and fresh fish from Peter Thundercliffe of Scarborough every Thursday.

Coppice House

Info:  The beef, pork and lamb we sell from Coppice House farm has been reared using non-intensive farming methods, which forbid the use of growth-promoters and antibiotics. Our poultry, vegetables and dairy products, and our wide range of pickles, preserves and condiments have been sourced as locally as possible.

Emsleys

Info:  Situated in Yeadon, near Leeds, our farm shop and visitor centre is the ideal place to step out of the city into the country. Our shop is brimming with quality goods and produce, many from local producers. We sell traditional dry cured bacon, home made pies and preserves, farm fresh eggs, fruit and vegetables and Brymor ice cream. We are the local Calor Gas stockists and have a wide range of quality coal and logs, along with every thing for the bbq, including British lumpwood charcoal.

We also offer virtually everything you could possibly hope to find in your local greengrocers, bakery, off-licence, delicatessen, garden centre or supermarket. In fact, our whole mission is to buy everything locally wherever and whenever possible.

Swillington Organic Farm

Info:  We provide a range of home grown organic produce. This includes organic beef, pork, lamb, mutton, goat, chicken, duck and turkey. As well as organic eggs, vegetables, salads and herbs.

The Balloon Tree

Info:  We are very lucky to have light sandy soil which gives a unique flavour to our homegrown produce. Our motto ‘less food miles, more farm yards’ encompasses everything we stand for. We ensure all our produce are top quality and as fresh as possible, our own produce is super-fresh as it comes straight from the field onto the shelves, and everything else we try and source locally.
