Our experience and commitment has translated into working with 200 emission reduction projects across 6 continents, and 1000s of clients from multinationals to SMEs. The Environmental Change Network

ECN gathers information about the pressures on and responses to environmental change in physical, chemical and biological systems. It is supported by a consortium of fourteen sponsoring organisations and seven research organisations.

ECN's objectives are: to establish and maintain a selected network of sites within the UK from which to obtain comparable long-term datasets through the monitoring of a range of variables identified as being of major environmental importance; to provide for the integration and analysis of these data, so as to identify natural and man-induced environmental changes and improve understanding of the causes of change; to distinguish short-term fluctuations from long-term trends, and predict future changes; to provide, for research purposes, a range of representative sites with good instrumentation and reliable environmental information.

Trees for Cities

UKCIP

Info:  The UK Climate Impacts Programme (UKCIP) helps organisations to adapt to inevitable climate change. While it’s essential to reduce future greenhouse gas emissions, the effects of past emissions will continue to be felt for decades.

Since 1997 UKCIP has been working with the public, private and voluntary sectors to assess how a changing climate will affect construction, working practices, demand for goods and services, biodiversity, service delivery, health, and much more.

Info:  Is an independent website created with the sole aim of raising awareness about the dangers of climate change and the simple actions each of us can take to make a difference in our everyday lives.

They want low-carbon living to become something cool that people aspire to and value. There's no point sitting around waiting for government and businesses to take appropriate action. Together we're responsible for the problem and together we can solve it.

The site is not connected to any other company or organisation and aims to provide impartial recommendations and practical advice to help everyone reduce their own carbon emissions.

WWF

Info:  Is the world’s leading environmental organisation founded in 1961 and now active in over 100 countries. Using their unique combination of practical experience, knowledge and credibility, their 300-strong staff work with governments, businesses and communities both here and around the world so that people and nature thrive within their fair share of the planet’s natural resources. In 2007/8 they spent £42m on their work; most of their income comes from their dedicated members and supporters.

Youth Against Climate Change

Info:  Are a group of young people who are concerned about climate change. This is a massive problem which must be urgently addressed before it’s too late. It was formed in June 2006 by students at Howard of Effingham School, Surrey, UK but is designed to be a voice on behalf of all young people to demand effective action against global warming.

They are a member of the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition and their aims are: to inform and engage students of all levels about the dangers of global warming; to promote practical steps to reduce the risk; through students, to engage the public at large to change their own behaviour; consequently to reduce energy usage significantly; to campaign to force governments to take effective action against global warming.
