Interflush |
|
|
Info: Varyflush Ltd makes the Interflush™, a
kit which fits on top of your WC siphon and connects to
the front mounted flush handle. It only flushes when the
handle is held down; releasing the handle, which stops
the flush (when pan is clear). It only uses exactly what
water is needed. Any less, and the toilet would need
flushing again. That is why nothing can flush a toilet
with less water.
£20 in = thousands out
over the years. |

Otter Vacuum Systems |
|
|
Info: Are the UK distributors for Jets
Standard AS vacuum toilets and pumps. Patented in 1986,
the Jets Vacuumarator® is a vacuum pump with built-on
macerator which, coupled with the Jets vacuum toilets,
give you a hygenic and environmentally friendly toilet
system, with low water and power use. Jets Closed System
is one solution for collection of waste in a closed
tank. The waste goes to a valve in a sealed tank, which
is emptied as required by a drainage vehicle. The tank
can stand on the ground or be dug down. The entire
system -- toilets, pipes and tank -- is completely sealed
and nothing can either enter or leave the system. |

Shower-Save |
|
|
Info: In an average house up to 90% of the hot
water is used for showering. Most of that heat goes
straight down the drain with the waste or grey water.
The Shower-Save is a very simple grey water heat
recovery system. It can reclaim up to 60% of the heat
that would normally be lost down the drain when you
shower. That means that the cost of a shower both
financially and in carbon emissions is only 40% of what
it would be without the Shower-Save installed. |
|
Solar Utilities
Ltd |
|
|
Info: We are a company that specialises in
renewable energy and alternative technology systems for
home and industrial applications.
We are accredited by The Energy Savings Trust and so, if
you are eligible, you may be able to obtain a grant
towards the costs of installing one or more of our
systems, from their Low Carbon Buildings Programme.
The Sola-boost is an
extension of the proven Windcatcher design, to provide
additional ventilation on sunny days whilst maintaining
zero running costs. We have, therefore, been able to
significantly improve the potential of Windcatcher
systems by the addition of a solar driven internal fan
that brings in additional fresh air at an approximate
rate of 260l/s or conversely, the fan operation can be
set to extract stale air. All this without any energy
cost. |

competent ground worker, they require no special tools,
and are easily handled on site. |
