OakCraft |

Info: Are experts in creating traditional oak
frame buildings. Based in Hampshire, we also have
offices in Berkshire and Kent. We specialise in
modular and bespoke designed oak garages, annexes,
extensions, garden rooms, pool houses, trusses,
orangeries, pergolas -- the list is endless. We operate
nationally and design and craft all of our oak frame
buildings at our sawmills in Holmsley, Hampshire which
has been producing fine timber products since the 1880s.
All our oak comes from
sustainable resources in managed forests. The use of
such timber is therefore more environmentally friendly
than the use of other building materials. Many oak
framed buildings have lasted for hundreds of years,
every bit as well as others of the same age built in
stone or brick. We expect that one of our oak-framed
buildings, on a proper foundation, will last for many
centuries with reasonable maintenance -- oak itself
requires little or no maintenance. |

Shireoak Frame |

Info: Designs, manufactures and supplies
quality bespoke green oak frame buildings, using
traditional joinery and the age old French scribe
method, which dates back to the 11th century. It is a
simple and effective method resulting in precision,
allowing them to work with oak with all its cracks,
twists and curves. Oak frame stable blocks are becoming
very popular as they are strong, durable and have a
longer lasting life span than pressure treated timber. |
