Amvic ICF System |
|
|
Info: Can be used for almost any kind of
building, including residential developments, commercial
units, industrial buildings, self-build homes and
extensions, basement and earth sheltered development. It
is a cost effective method of construction that is more
sustainable and environmentally friendly than standard
masonry or timber frame.
Amvic is the most
user-friendly ICF on the market due to its innovative
design, which increases speed of construction, reduces
labour costs and provides the highest level of
performance during and after construction. The powerful
combination of the patented, reversible FormLock™
interlock, EPS composition, innovative web design and
web spacing result in a truer system, that requires less
support during installation; less wastage when compared
against other ICF systems; the ability to withstand
internal concrete vibration, ensuring a structurally
superior wall. |

B-A-G Building Contractors |
|
|
Info: Were originally formed in 1985. Since then
we have become well established in the design and
construction of both commercial and private housing
schemes. We build to exceptionally high standards using
modern methods of construction (MMC) and cutting edge
technologies. We use Amvic ICF because we
believe it to be a cost effective method of construction
that is more sustainable and environmentally friendly
than standard masonry or timber frame.
The following points are
considered as key aspects to consider when developing
sustainable construction: thermal mass, durability, fire
resistance, acoustic performance, flood resistance,
maintenance, security, air tightness. The way in which
polystyrene and concrete is combined in ICF construction
means this system provides outstanding performance
levels for each of these key points. |

Garden Affairs |
|
|
Info: For log cabins, summerhouses, garden
offices, gazebos, timber garages, timber workshops,
garden studios, garden stores, arbours, green roofs,
custom design service and lots more.
We are constantly
reviewing our working practices and looking for new
ways to develop efficient waste management and recycling
procedures. It is unlikely that anyone in the future
will want to take down a Garden Affairs building but, if
they do, around 95% of the environmentally friendly
materials used are recyclable.
All our softwood
buildings are manufactured from first class Northern
European pine. In these countries, governmental
authorities exercise stringent supervision to ensure
that more trees are planted than are cut down, so that
the ecological balance is maintained.
Micro-porus based
preservative treatments and paints are used to reduce
volatile organic compound emissions which are associated
with traditional solvent borne coatings. These
treatments are more durable, more environmentally
friendly and last longer between re-paints.
The Garden Affairs green
roof system, available on their range of log cabins,
offers an eco-friendly alternative to traditional
roofing materials. With all year round plant interest, a
green roof is also designed to outlast traditional
roofing materials. A green roof will offer excellent
insulation reducing the power used by heating and
air-conditioning. Further benefits of this system
include: helps to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere; a haven
for wildlife; suitable for sun or shade; ideal for windy
or exposed areas where other roof coverings can be
damaged; frost hardy and drought resistant. |
